August & September 2024

Barcelona, (2) month summary.

Due to the vacation period in August, which coincides with the holidays of most of our customers, we have decided to combine the August and September news into one single entry

Three cumulative updates for GIMM 4.0, CU156, 157 and 158 have been released these two months. They include these new functionalities:

– UC1483 – Extension of two existing GIMM output interfaces. One for the exportation of traceability data into XML files, it is extended to include packing and Just-In-Sequence data. The other, for exporting Master Data, it includes the operations per workstation data. Additionally, as an option, both interfaces include the possibility to add line feed characters into the XML files to be more human readable.
– UC1475 – Another extension of an output interface which is in charge of doing the production backflush to MII module of SAP. In this case, it has been included the option to inform the dates as UTC (Universal Time) format.
– UC1483 – New functionality which allows in GIMM PROCS workstations to manage continuous traceability parameters during the productive process. Until now, GIMM PROCS only allowed capturing a single value for traceability parameters, usually at the moment when the PLC provided the final result of the operation. With this improvement, multiple values for the same traceability parameter can be captured throughout the entire productive cycle of a piece (with a configurable sampling time), allowing to analyze their evolution in a graphical format.
– Internal improvement – New specific user role for disabling the OEM Order filter from Manual Sequencing screen, then the user must use the VIN filter mandatorily.
– UC1472 – New feature for GIMM PROCS workstations, which now can make conformity checks for production data coming in files generated by the PLCs (degraded process).
– UC1472 – New workstation for GIMM PROCS: Multi-Packing. The behaviour is than auto-packing but with an additional poka-yoke for validating the WIP (work in progress) rack label and the container label.
– UC1489 – Extension in the production scheduler module to allow updating the week in progress.
– Internal improvement – Enhancements in the new user Interface (support Information added to Login page; collapsable filters and expandible sidebar; left data grid focus preserved after any user action; workstation Id on data grids can be filtered as string; permission system improvement).

Another cumulative update for LINCS 2.0, CU043. The new functionalities provided are:

– LUC158 – This functionality allows key users to decide which reorders requested by the OEM are included in each reorder container. It also permits removing reorders from closed and open containers.
– LUC183 – BMW forecast (demand generated by SAP) translator is updated to integrate new data received from the supplier SAP system.
– LUC207 – For the SAP interface, in which LINCS2 informs about the Handling Units (HU), it is included the possibility to add a prefix in the container number, to ease the identification of the racks’ content.
– Internal improvement. Several enhancements added to the main dashboard: first, when accessing to the dashboard, this is open in a new tab; second, when the cursor points to a screen in the dashboard, a tooltip shows screen code.

And finally, we have released a new version of Synchron.Net, the 2.1.1, which includes:

– Internal improvement – New functionality for Jaguar-Land Rover connector. In the manual actions for downloading JIS files, it is included a preview window of the message, so the data can be verified and validated before executing the file download.
