October & November 2024

Barcelona, (2) month summary.

Over the past two months, we’ve made exciting progress and released several new packages for our products!

We announced the launch of two cumulative updates for GIMM 4.0, CU159 and 160. These updates bring fantastic new functionalities that will enhance performance and deliver even more value. Here’s a look at what’s included:

– UC1431 – Second sprint delivery for the communication of GIMM with an AGV Fleet System to control the materials movement for the intralogistics processes. This includes the communication protocol and the monitoring screens.
– UC1472 – Also second sprint delivery for this use case, which allows GIMM PROCS to import data production from PLCs (using files) in a downgrade production mode (when main data exchange protocol is not available). The functionality includes sending alerts per email when importing such files, and a protection mode against process running in normal mode when importing the files.
– UC1493 – Modification on existing interface SPMGetShopOrderListREST in GIMM PROCS to filter by workcenter and production date, maintain a maximum queue size of launched orders pending to produce, and launch by groups of the same batch.
– UC1491 – New interface for GIMM PROCS which allows the unitary production declaration into Oracle ERP using REST calls.
– UC1508 – New edition tag added to GIMM to split highlight features for the labels. So, using one specific feature that can come with the master data, GIMM is able to separate any string based on this highlight configuration.
– UC1517 – New feature for the WebPicking, which allows validating the components grouped list, one by one, by scanning the part number barcode. Additionally, it is added a unicity control for the components scanned.
– Internal improvement – In a GIMM PROCS workstation it is possible to store the batch open date and time, so this data can be printed in labels or sent to PLCs as process parameters.
– Internal improvement – Also in GIMM PROCS this allows using components and item traceability data when calculating an automatic production batch.
– Internal Improvement – Another new functionality for the WebPicking, in this case of the kitting list. This last update includes a customizable style sheet for some of its characteristics.
– Internal improvement – One new report (Microsoft reporting Services) is available to get the users and linked roles configured in the system.
– Internal improvement – Added in GIMM a new edition tag for the part group information, in order this data can be extracted to be used in different parts of the process: labels, process parameters, generation of items, etc.

We’re also excited to share that two cumulative updates for LINCS 2.0, CU044 and CU045. have been delivered! These updates introduce fantastic new functionalities, including:

– LUC187 – Upgrade an existing interface to integrate BMW reorders data to receive additional information, like BMW assembly line, special comments, and dummy part numbers.
– LUC210 – Added an additional column with the vehicle VIN data in the reorders screen.
– LUC201 – Adaptation on Renault Long Range JIS (L3PX) integration process to manage the scenario where different families (collections) are included in the same file.
– LUC174 – Added a mechanism to delete closed trucks and restart their content directly from the User Interface, enabling greater flexibility.
– LUC175 – LINCS2 now allows deletion of containers created in manual requests, simplifying error corrections for operators.
– LUC203 – A confirmation message has been added when regenerating an interface from the screen button, helping operators stay on track and avoid unintended actions.
– LUC201 – Enhanced integration process for Renault Long Range JIS (L3PX) to support scenarios with different families (collections) in the same file.
– Internal improvement – Replacement of all obsolete dll’s in all LINCS2 services.
– Internal improvement – The process in charge of the Containers Creation has been enhanced to return different result codes depending on the error detected, and a better description in the result.

And finally, we’re pleased to announce the release of a new version of Synchron.Net, the 2.1.2. This update introduces the following feature:

– Internal improvement – New functionality for Jaguar-Land Rover connector. In the manual actions for downloading JIS files, now the preview panel includes a pretty XML view of the broadcast files (with line breaks / carriage returns on every XML tag in order to make it more readable).

August & September 2024

Barcelona, (2) month summary.

Due to the vacation period in August, which coincides with the holidays of most of our customers, we have decided to combine the August and September news into one single entry

Three cumulative updates for GIMM 4.0, CU156, 157 and 158 have been released these two months. They include these new functionalities:

– UC1483 – Extension of two existing GIMM output interfaces. One for the exportation of traceability data into XML files, it is extended to include packing and Just-In-Sequence data. The other, for exporting Master Data, it includes the operations per workstation data. Additionally, as an option, both interfaces include the possibility to add line feed characters into the XML files to be more human readable.
– UC1475 – Another extension of an output interface which is in charge of doing the production backflush to MII module of SAP. In this case, it has been included the option to inform the dates as UTC (Universal Time) format.
– UC1483 – New functionality which allows in GIMM PROCS workstations to manage continuous traceability parameters during the productive process. Until now, GIMM PROCS only allowed capturing a single value for traceability parameters, usually at the moment when the PLC provided the final result of the operation. With this improvement, multiple values for the same traceability parameter can be captured throughout the entire productive cycle of a piece (with a configurable sampling time), allowing to analyze their evolution in a graphical format.
– Internal improvement – New specific user role for disabling the OEM Order filter from Manual Sequencing screen, then the user must use the VIN filter mandatorily.
