December 2019

Barcelona, month summary.

December has been again a busy month for the GIMM team.

During this month, we’ve been working in a PROCS project that will supply parts for a new brand, John Deere. Many other PROCS projects have arrived to add new lines or workstations in existing installations, as well as new requirements that later will be available for all our clients. This is the case of the new interface that will allow importing traceability data from one GIMM-PROCS installation that is supplying parts to a second GIMM-PROCS installation that is receiving that parts for the assembly line.

On the other hand, LINCS new projects will update some existing installations to add new requirements.

Our Development team has also worked to release 2 GIMM cumulative updates, CU67 and CU68, that are now available in the Download Center of the Customer Area.

But December is also a month to gather and review all that happened during the year. We have worked hard… more than 10 new brands connected or supplied, more than 30 new installations, 26 Cumulative Updates released and almost 300 projects are the result of our effort.

Now, we have high expectations for the New Year. New product evolutions, new innovation projects and new illusions will be part of our day to day to give our best for our clients in 2020.

From GIMM Team we wish you Merry Christmas and our best wishes in the New Year.

August 2019

Barcelona, month summary.

August is typically the summer holiday’s period in Spain. Many of us are out of the office sometime in this month. Nevertheless, we keep on working in GIMM to deploy new projects.

We will be implementing LINCS system in China to sequence for Tesla new factory in Shanghai, and in France for PSA Poissy. Both projects include our EDI connectivity modules, MOS and SYNCHRON, which are part of T-Systems Iberia’s GIMM suite. They are responsible to retrieve EDI exchange from TESLA and PSA Group respectively. Suppliers need high-tech processes for their goods production “PULL” concept. Manufacturing those goods to clients along integration, traceability, automation and delivery processes are done by means of call-off synchronization and data interchange with all the external partners in an open architecture.

PROCS, production management system, will be implemented as well in several factories in Hungary, Czech Republic, Germany and USA.

May 2019

Barcelona, month summary.

This month GIMM team keeps working at good pace implementing our solutions in different plants around the world.

PROCS, our MES solution, has been implemented in several turnkey projects, to trace the production of AUDI Q7, SEAT LEON, FORD C482 and several models of CheHeJia, Geely, DEUTZ-FAR and CUMMINS. These new projects have taken GIMM to different plants in China, Czech Republic, Netherlands, Slovakia, Mexico and Spain.

PROCS projects usually take a few days and only require the configuration of the product to meet the precise needs of the plant. This configuration is sometimes done by our expert consultants and other times is done by the plant itself. This depends on the plant preferences.
New sequencing projects with LINCS have also started this month, all of them for the production of new SEAT LEON PQ38. LINCS projects often require the implementation of specific needs. In these new projects, all sequencing for SEAT Martorell (Spain), LINCS has been adapted for the plants to modify the existing workflow, to send Baugruppen files to SEAT or to generate specific alerts.

In parallel to the plant’s deployment projects, our Development team has work to release this month 2 Cumulative Updates with new standard functionalities in GIMM-PROCS, available for all our customers. Please refer to Download Center for additional information.
